Grade: Service Manager 1
Salary Range: £31,334 to £51,115 (depending on experience)

Our Biological Services Unit, employs over 50 staff to support our research strategy. We currently have a vacancy for a NTCO and Compliance Manager. This is a key position within the Institute and the successful applicant will be required to work with the BSU Management Team to ensure that all BSU staff are appropriately trained and that BSU processes, outputs and facilities are aligned with user expectations, agreed service levels and comply with relevant legislation.
This position is fundamental to the in vivo research we conduct at the Institute and requires someone who has the confidence, knowledge and experience of working in a fast-paced in vivo research environment to the highest of standards. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be required to engage with BSU users and staff to provide training and assess training needs. In addition, you must possess the leadership capability to ensure compliance from all users, including managing any infringements of personal licences, and to manage relationships with external stakeholders such as the University of Glasgow and Home Office.
You will require a degree in a relevant discipline and/or significant hands-on experience in an in vivo research environment. In addition, you must possess a personal licence, have an understanding of health and safety, including Home Office regulations.
