Role Details
We are currently seeking a Laboratory Management Officer to join the Laboratory Management Group within the CRUK Scotland Institute. Responsibilities of this role include effective management of laboratory equipment through upkeep, maintenance and coordination of servicing, support of laboratory processes which adhere to all institute policies and health and safety practices and control of laboratory waste including its safe handling and disposal. The individual must have a strong teamwork ethic, be able to prioritise tasks, adapt to changes in the workload demands at short notice and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of institute staff by verbal and written means. A scientific background is not essential for this position: we would actively encourage those who have experience in support-based roles, such as technicians and auxiliaries, and in fields such as manufacturing and production, to consider applying .
